On a calm, windless day near my home in Bonner, Canberra, I captured this surreal reflection of the sky over a still lake. The movement of clouds drifting overhead created a mesmerizing effect, mirrored almost perfectly in the still water.
To emphasize this scene, I took a series of four photos over the span of ten minutes, allowing the subtle shifts in the clouds to create a sense of motion. Later, in Photoshop, I blended the images together, resulting in an almost dreamlike composition where the sky and water seem to merge into one. The slight streaking of the clouds across the sky contrasts with the lake’s pristine reflection.
