Story Behind The Image

Taken along the woodland walking trails at Mount Annan Botanic Gardens, this image captures a moment where the sunlight pierced through the canopy, casting a bright beam across the forest floor. 

What caught my eye was the framing of the two trees leading the eye towards a lush, bushy mound in the distance. The lighting in the photo from the brightness and darkness of the shadows created surreal, dreamlike world where the cool light from above met harsh brightness on the forest floor. It felt like stepping into a quiet moment suspended in time, where nature revealed its more magical side.
