Story Behind The Image

Captured in Canberra as a powerful thunderstorm swept past toward Yass. The storm was one of the most lightning intense I have ever seen with lightning occurring every few seconds. I positioned myself in my garden with a rose in the middle looking up towards the sky. I then managed to capture a crawling lightning strike that traveled from one end of the photo to the other. 

This photo is one of my proudest lightning photos that I have taken and it was also sold to the ABC News to use.
