The fees quoted by Thomas Dyne Photography are for the original job description presented by the client. Any subsequent changes may result in additional charges, whether made orally or in writing. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
In the event of cancellation or postponement of the shoot, the client shall pay all expenses incurred by Thomas Dyne Photography.
If a shoot is cancelled before 48 hours of the shoot no charges will be issued, except for of any fees for any subcontractors booked for the job. If a shoot is cancelled after 48 hours, the client shall pay for all anticipated fees.
To hold a particular shoot date, Individuals or Business clients may be required to pay a retainer of $50.00 upfront. It is understood that by holding a shoot date, Thomas Dyne Photography will be turning away other potential bookings for that date/time. If a client cancels their booking, the Cancellations & postponement fees apply.
Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Late payments will be billed an extra $30.00/month till payment is received.
Proof images from commercial photography jobs are generally ready within 3 business days from the date of the shoot.
A 40% surcharge may apply to urgent requests where images are required within 24 hours.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that adequate direction of what the client requires for the photography is provided. If no clear directions are provided for the photography, the photographer’s interpretation shall be accepted.
Thomas Dyne Photography takes responsibility for ensuring that the images supplied to the client are of a professional standard, delivered in a reasonable time and that the subject (if working with people) receives adequate on-camera direction.
Thomas Dyne Photography does not take responsibility in the case where a client is not satisfied with the overall look of the images due to the subject’s appearance - for example where the subject appears tired in their photos due to lack of sleep. Inexperienced and first-time subjects will understand that working in front of the camera is a skill that is gained through experience. While the subject will receive professional on-camera direction, Thomas Dyne Photography can not be held responsible if the subject does not respond to that direction.
While Thomas Dyne Photography may make suggestions to the client relating to hair, makeup and wardrobe, final responsibility will remain with the client. In the case where Thomas Dyne Photography supplies a subcontractor such as a hair & make-up artist, the client has the right to reject the services on the day of the shoot. However, the client must pay the costs of the subcontractors' time. No revocation shall be permitted on completion of the shoot.
Generally, the copyright of all images created by Thomas Dyne Photography will remain the property of Thomas Dyne Photography.
Upon receipt of full payment, the client will have access to use the images how they please, however, I request you cannot edit, change or manipulate them. Usage on a commercial basis by third parties will be negotiated with Thomas Dyne Photography unless already specified in the quote.
Thomas Dyne Photography reserves the right to use any images from a photography shoot as 'samples of work' or in a portfolio context across all digital and print mediums. In situations where the client can be identified in an image such as; a portrait, the image will not be used without the client's written permission.
Unless specifically requested beforehand, all images will be supplied to the client as proof images in Jpeg format - 72 dpi and in RGB colour with a draft label watermark. Proof images are individually graded for colour, contrast and exposure. Proof images are generally ready within 3 business days from the date of the shoot.
Finished images are supplied as Jpeg files - 300 dpi and in RGB colour. These are generally ready within 7 business days from the date of the shoot.
The client shall advise Thomas Dyne Photography before the shoot date if a different format other than Jpeg is to be supplied. Alternative formats may incur additional charges.
If the client requests images to be Re-edited, the turnaround time for re-editing orders containing 20 images or less is usually 7 business days. A same-day rush service can be provided for an additional 40% fee.
Quotes, where re-editing is included, are valid for 30 days from the date that the finished images were issued. Additional requests after 30 days will be charged a $45.00 reorder fee on top of any additional charges, for example, complex work such as softening wrinkles, slimming waistlines, working on jaw lines, working on clothing etc will be charged at an additional rate.
There is no set turnaround time for orders placed after 30 days. However, you will generally receive these images within 20 to 23 business days.
To maintain consistency it is recommended that re-editing orders from the same project be submitted at the same time. Re-editing orders involving large groups of people such as corporate headshots must be ordered at the same time.
Thomas Dyne Photography does not provide file storage or take responsibility for loss or damage to files after they have been delivered to the client. Online photo galleries used for delivering files to clients may be deleted after 30 days. It is therefore recommended that clients duplicate their files and store them across separate locations.
Thomas Dyne Photography has the right to refuse services if there is a health and safety risk to the photographer and or the client(s).
